Update 2/23: COVID-19 vaccination registration for Hoosiers age 60 and older is now open on the state's website

Hoosiers age 60 and older in Elkhart County can register now by calling 2-1-1 or 574-523-2106 or visiting vaccine.coronavirus.in.gov. A caregiver or loved one may make an appointment on behalf of an eligible senior. Appointments for the second dose will be made at the clinic when the first dose is administered.

First responders (fire, law enforcement, emergency medical services, reservists and volunteers) who have in-person contact with the public and licensed and unlicensed healthcare workers who have in-person contact with patients or infectious material in any healthcare setting are also eligible to schedule a vaccination appointment. Eligible professionals should receive an invitation and registration link from their employer, professional association, or the State of Indiana (Indiana Department of Health, Professional Licensing Agency, Family & Social Services Administration, Department of Homeland Security, or another state agency).

The Elkhart County Health Department has set up a form for reporting concerns regarding COVID-19 precautions at Elkhart County businesses, restaurants, nightclubs, and bars. Please report any of your concerns by filling and submitting out the form which can be found here.

The ECHD has also reopened its call center (574)-523-2106 (9 am - 4 pm, M-F) to address any questions about policy changes and testing sites.

  • Hoosiers age 60 and older in Elkhart County can now register for the COVID-19 vaccine by calling 2-1-1 or 574-523-2106 or visiting vaccine.coronavirus.in.gov. If you have questions about the vaccine, please visit elkhartcountycovid19.com.

  • 15 new cases yesterday. 21,806 Elkhart County residents have received at least the first dose of the vaccine. Elkhart County has been progressed to Level Blue!!!!! Great work! Continue to wear a mask, wash your hands, stay at home if you are sick, practice social distancing, and do not hesitate to get tested.
 
  • County has yet to issue COVID fines to repeat offenders. An ECHD rep says that the goal is compliance, not fines.
