  • 159 new cases of coronavirus in Elkhart County were reported over the weekend. Preventing the spread is not just about protecting our more vulnerable neighbors but also about being responsible so that businesses and events can stay open. Dr. Lydia Mertz, Elkhart County Health Officer, recently released a statement emphasizing the following safety features:
    • Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. When soap is not available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
    • Wear cloth face coverings when in a public area. Even in outdoor spaces, if you are close to other people a face covering is still encouraged.
    • Keep social distancing of 6 feet both indoors and outdoors!
    • Stay home if you are sick!
    • Clean frequently touched surfaces often!

  • Face Mask Giveaway in Goshen today! From 2 - 6 pm the City of Goshen will be distributing over 2,500 sewn face masks in a tent outside of City Hall (202 S 5th Street).

  • A list of voting centers for Tuesday's Primary can be found here. The Elkhart County Clerk has already reported more than three times the normal number of mail-in ballots.

  • The Elkhart County 4-H Fair has unfortunately been suspended for a year and will be run concurrently with the 2021 fair. Fortunately the 4-H livestock shows will continue but will not be open to the public.

  • Goshen College has laid out its Fall 2021 reopening plans.

  • Follow Middlebury's Facebook page to keep up to date about the development of the new 2030 comprehensive plan!

  • Bristol Public Library is open for computer time from 9 am - 1 pm Tues - Thurs. Call during these hours to reserve your 1-hour time slot.
