  • More info about the Moderna (Español) and Pfizer (Español) vaccines! Learn more on our vaccine page, check out a video here, and hear from Dr. Michelle Bache, Vice President of Medical Affairs at Elkhart General Hospital. They also posted this message on 1/1/21:

Vaccination is being slowly rolled out, and we at the Health Department ask you to be patient as we await our supplies. We are eager to put this pandemic behind us, and vaccinating residents of Elkhart County will accomplish this. Over 65,000 vaccinations have been given so far in Indiana, and appointments are made to have over 100,000 vaccinated by Jan. 4. Indiana expects shipments of both the Pfizer vaccine, and the Moderna vaccine this week, although still in limited quantities. The Elkhart County Health Department will use every means available to notify people of Elkhart County when we are able to start distributing vaccine. Please check this site frequently for updates.
